Originally this process was built for Smart Cleaning (a feature that checks the PC context to see where automatic cleaning or alerts can help, e.g. Both of these settings use the background process of CCleaner. Yesterday we released a patch to fix a bug where automatic updates was affecting the Smart Cleaning setting. They're typically less than 100KB each so shouldn't cause any serious issues in the meantime.
We will also clean up any dump files this has produced when we fix it. It doesn't happen every time you close the app, it's a bit more nuanced than that. Hi all, we're aware of the dump issue and are working on it.
